The SPCA of Wake County in Raleigh, NC is seeking a full-time veterinarian/partner to provide high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter services for the SPCA and the public. Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing the re-visioning and expansion of an established, fully-equipped spay/neuter facility; developing standard operating procedures to ensure best practice-based medical procedures; ensuring highly efficient surgical flow; and providing leadership and oversight of all clinic operations. Must be able to perform or be trained to perform 25 – 30 spay/neuter surgeries per day.
Qualified applicants will have prior surgical experience and be comfortable with all aspects of spay/neuter surgery, including cryptorchids, pregnant spays, and pediatric sterilizations. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple priorities, and create and maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
Candidates must have a DVM in good standing from an accredited academic institution and have or be able to obtain a North Carolina DVM license within one month of hire. Preferred candidates will have 2 – 4 years of professional veterinary medical/surgery experience.
