This is a full-time clinical instructor position in the Veterinary Dentistry and Oral surgery section with the Department of Surgical Sciences. This position will be part of a current team of two AVDC diplomats and three residents providing clinical service to the dentistry and oral surgery section within the Small Animal Hospital of UW Veterinary Care on the UW Madison Campus. The Annual case load for the small animal hospital is over 24,000 patients with 4-5 dental and/or orofacial procedure performed daily. If needed, study time for the AVDC examination will be provided. Candidates demonstrating expertise or interest in expanding the veterinary dentistry and oral surgery service's clinical service offerings to zoological or quine patients is supported and encouraged, but not required. The Small Animal faculty are team oriented and are excited about the prospects of furthering the development of dental, oral and maxillofacial care of veterinary patients. Advanced training in dentistry and oral surgery required. Board of certified or board of eligible in the American veterinary Dental college (AVDC) or European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC) is necessary.
Must maintain a Wisconsin License to practice veterinary medicine
