Country Friends Veterinary Clinic, located in Royce City, is seeking to hire an experienced Veterinary Technician for full-time employment.
At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience
1 or more years’ experience in a leadership role
LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) or
Certified Veterinary Assistant Level III (Texas Veterinary Medical Association)
Working Avimark experience and knowledge (preferred)

Handle and treat patients with skill, compassion and care including: Induction and monitoring during anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, administering fluids, assisting in diagnosing, surgery and general and specialized nursing care
Able to collect lab samples and accurately perform laboratory tests
Accurately dispense and administer medications, treatments, and vaccines
Input history, notes and charges into Avimark accurately and in timely manner
Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function in order to fulfill the requirements of this position
Strong communication and client service skills. Considerable tact and diplomacy is required. Ability to work with clients and patients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
Work well with all team members and ensure that your actions support the hospital, the doctors, and the practice philosophy
Anticipate doctor needs, follow directions, complete requested tasks in timely manner and communicate issues/problems effectively to supervisor. Pro-actively search and implement ways to help hospital run more efficiently or provide a better client/patient experience
Perform general physical activities that require lifting, bending, standing, stooping, moving from room to room, and standing or walking for extended periods of time.
Maintain LVT license and actively search for and obtain applicable CE and present to
Educate and partner with every client on how to achieve optimal wellness for their pets
