Veterinary Emergency Referral Center (VERC) is currently accepting applications for emergency veterinary technicians. Emergency technicians assist the doctors in client care and communication, diagnostics, nursing care, and surgical procedures. Our technicians use their skills to the fullest extent and perform these tasks with the help of veterinary assistants.
VERC provides emergency and specialty care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Specialty services include emergency and critical care, neurology and surgery, and dermatology. We have a state-of-the-art facility offering MRI, CT, ultrasonography, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, dedicated ICU, on-site reference lab and blood bank. VERC is located in Pensacola, near Florida's beautiful Emerald Coast. Pensacola has a thriving downtown and offers a variety of sports, arts and community events. Our full-time positions work three, 12-hour shifts per week, so our team can enjoy the fun and carefree lifestyle of living on one of Florida's most beautiful beaches.
Applicants must have mastered basic technical skills including client communication, phlebotomy, catheterization and radiography. One year of veterinary experience is required and preference is giving to veterinary technicians who are enrolled in an AVMA accredited program or who are currently licensed/certified.
