A candidate must be conscientious and team-oriented with a positive attitude and compassion for others. They will possess excellent client communication and interpersonal skills as well as superior diagnostic skills and medical acumen. This position has the support of our close-knit family of veterinarians to include our on-site Board-Certified Surgeon and Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist and two Medical Directors that have over 50+ years of experience in private practice.

Located only 35 miles north of the city of Boston and just over an hour away from the New Hampshire Mountains and Lake Region and southern Maine Seacoast, we are a fully-equipped, AHHA-certified, small animal veterinary practice in Nashua, New Hampshire. Our "Gate City" location is between two major airports and only 1-hour away from Boston, and 4-hours away from New York City. Our general practice is within a larger 24-hour veterinary emergency and referral hospital.
A general practice associate sees a mix of urgent care and wellness care. Our general practice services include wellness exams, vaccinations, preventative care, diagnostic testing, ultrasound, dental care and surgery. We have in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, 24/7 ICU, and expansive surgery suites and dedicated dental area with digital x-ray.
We have been a member of our local community for over 34+ years and the first practice to offer 24-HR emergency care north of the greater Boston area. We are proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) since 1991 and accepted our 25 year AAHA membership award in 2017.
Our Medical Directors are willing to offer coaching and mentoring to the right new graduate candidate; they always provide ongoing support, assistance, and training to our medical team.

Veterinarian Skills and Qualifications
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of New Hampshire.
Internship trained and/or 3 years in private practice preferred but, we will train and coach the right candidate with no experience.
Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and clients.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Develop and maintain trusting relationships with every client who visits the hospital.
Perform the primary functions of a small animal veterinarian, namely examine and treat patients, prescribe treatments, perform surgery.
Respond appropriately to the caseload of the hospital as directed by the staff.
Provide follow-up communication and care, as appropriate, for all cases treated.
Provide follow-up communication and care for any patient, as requested.
Assist in retaining existing clients, developing new clients and enhancing the hospital reputation in the community through community outreach.
Participate in providing continuing education for our staff.
Attend and participate in all team and individual meetings as requested.
