Full-time, small animal veterinarian opening now available at the Gardner Animal Care Center. Come join a veterinary family that is fun, has years of experience, and is highly motivated to care for the pets our clients have entrusted to us. We are honored to be recognized nationally with two veterinary awards. Vet Economics awarded us a Hospital Design Award for blending the oldest house in Gardner with an AAHA-accredited, full-service veterinary hospital. In 2013, we were the runner-up in the AAHA Practice of the Year competition for hospitals in the US and Canada.
We have set ourselves apart in our community by providing ongoing internships and externships for new, aspiring assistants and veterinary technicians. We are proud to work with Becker University and Mount Wachusett Community College Technician Programs, providing on the job training to the next generation of pet advocates.
In our profession, we recognize the need for work-life balance. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. The benefits include mentorship, health, dental, vision, professional liability insurance, CE, 401k, vacation/sick time and more. You will have three days off every other week and there is no after hour emergencies. When not working, Gardner is conveniently located an hour and 15 minutes from Boston and Springfield. We are also close to Mt. Wachusett mountain with hiking during the summer and skiing during the winter. If you are looking forward to staying home, Gardner has multiple parks and playgrounds, a community swimming pool, youth programs, a new dog park, annual Gardner Food Truck Festival and miles of biking/hiking trails. During the summer months, it is not uncommon to see family and friends enjoying movies or concerts together at Monument Park.
