The Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate veterinarian to join our team in Baldwinsville, New York. We are looking to fill full-time, part-time and relief positions. The VECCC is proud to have been providing a vital service offering essential urgent and emergency veterinary care to the companion animals in our community since 2004. Open on nights, weekends, and major holidays, the practice is strongly client and patient-oriented, providing high-quality veterinary care for all levels of patient need when their primary provider is closed. Furnished with cage side ultrasound, digital radiography, in-house laboratory, vital monitoring equipment (including ECG, NIBP, SpO2, and ETCO2), sevoflurane gas anesthesia, and a full pharmacy, our veterinarians handle a diverse, and often very busy, caseload. In this position, you'll use your superior medical judgment combined with a high level of empathy, confidence and humility. You will be working alongside a devoted team of 4 LVTs with over 10 years’ experience each, as well as 5 cross-trained receptionist/assistant rock stars to heal the pets that present on your shifts. Qualifications: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent - NY State Veterinary License in good standing - NY DEA license - All experience levels will be considered; emergency medicine experience is a plus, however - Comfortable providing emergency aid to patients and clients in critical situations - Able to provide services in a fast-paced environment, balancing several cases at once - Excellent bedside manner and communication skills - Professional references providing positive feedback on medical expertise and skills as well as client, patient, and team relationships |
