Position:

• Associate Veterinarian

Compensation:

• $100k to start then production based

• $10k signing/moving bonus

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VDM) or equivalent degree

• License in good standing with the Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine or ability to become licensed in VA prior to your start date

Schedule:

• We are open for appointments Mon – Thurs 7:30am – 6:30pm | Fri 7:30am – 4:00pm | Closed Saturday and Sunday

• 6 federal holidays off
• Liberal time off

Responsibilities:

• Work with clients to obtain the best health outcomes for their pets

• Practice high quality medicine

• Help the practice improve our medical standards

• Maintain medical records with the support of practice systems

• Foster an effective veterinary support team by encouraging learning and growth

About the owner.

Samantha Judge graduated from Colorado State University in 2003 and has a passion for theriogenology, oncology, and surgery. Along the way she became interested in complementary medicine. In 2015 she became certified in acupuncture. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, yoga, paddle boarding, and travel. All six of her Bernese Mt. Dogs come to work every day!

About the area.

We are located in a rural county in central Virginia at the base of the Northern Neck. King George is located between the Rappahannock and Potomac rivers and offers fantastic opportunities for boating, fishing, and water sports. We are about an hour from Richmond and DC, and two hours from Baltimore, Charlottesville, and Norfolk. Day trips to the beach and mountains are easy. There are several stables to board horses at including some with indoor arenas. Much of our staff lives in Fredericksburg, which is a small city with a charming downtown and the usual assortment of stores, plus a Wegman’s grocery store which we love. It is like a Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Safeway in one giant building. It is even bigger than our Lowe’s!
