This position will be a key member of the Preclinical Research organization helping teams develop innovative surgical solutions for Ethicon's Wound Closure, Wound Management and NeuWave. Will plan discovery and development programs and originate, design, and/or direct investigations in areas assigned to the laboratory. Will be a key player in developing and implementing efficient Preclinical Strategies and serve as an ambassador of the group negotiating alignment for these strategies with project teams. Will contribute to the selection, development, and execution of appropriate in vivo models. Will actively interact with the internal and external scientific community to maintain a state-of-the-art knowledge. Will participate in supervisory process, including training and evaluating associate staff, as well as coordinating their work.
