Full Time Hospital Manager needed for multi-doctor 100% avian/exotic veterinary practice. This practice does not see dogs or cats and is one of eight practices in a veterinary referral center in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
The Hospital Manager is responsible for Operations and Human Resources as well as financial responsibilities coordinating with bookkeeper and accountant. Applicants must have relevant experience managing a medical professional office (veterinary or human). A thorough background check will be conducted including contact with previous employers.
Hospital Manager: The Hospital Manager facilitates all hospital operations. The Hospital Manager assists in developing effective structures and policies to allow the hospital to fulfill its mission and to facilitate development of a positive hospital culture. To that end, the Hospital Manager is responsible for:
Developing and coordinating with staff management, particularly with our Medical Director and Technical Director
Serving as a human resources manager, assisting with recruiting, hiring, mentoring, retaining, disciplinary and termination procedures for all employees.
Maintaining employee records
Managing employee benefits- assisting with enrollments, terminations, etc.
Maintaining licensing and CE records
Primary supervisor of reception staff
Performance reviews and pay rate recommendations for reception staff, with probation or firing of reception staff as necessary
Participating in development of protocols as necessary to provide high quality standards of patient care, client satisfaction, veterinarian satisfaction, and monitoring of compliance with such protocols by all staff
Participating in development of protocols as necessary to provide organization for the hospital to function smoothly, to foster a positive hospital culture, and to monitor compliance with such protocols by all staff
Handling client complaints and client communication issues
Coordinating building maintenance needs, as well as maintenance of telephone and computer equipment
Implementing practice marketing efforts and maintaining website and social media platforms
Assisting with general needs of the hospital to ensure efficient operation
Participating in coordinating periodic staff meetings to facilitate communication among staff.
