We are a 4 doctor, 100% equine ambulatory practice located in Orange County, CA. This is a well-established company with an owner that has been in practice for 35 years. The other associates have been with the company for 7 years or more.

We are currently seeking a full-time associate/partner to help provide routine and emergency care. Our practice covers all aspects of internal medicine, preventative care, sports medicine, dentistry, and geriatric medicine (we do not provide reproductive services at this time). We have a full-time, Board Certified, Equine Medicine Specialist as part of our team.

We work with all equine training disciplines (mainly hunter/jumper with a small percentage of dressage, eventing, and western) as well as pleasure and trail horses.

Our compensation package is salary plus commission with an opportunity for ownership.

In addition, our practice will also provide:

New associate expectations:

• Availability to work Monday-Friday with 2 on-call nights per week and 1 on-call weekend every 4-6 weeks (Friday-Sunday).
• After one year of employment you have the option of a 4-day work week and an extra day off following your weekend on-call.
• Must be a friendly, hardworking, motivated individual who is enthusiastic, has good communication skills, ethics and integrity.

Working in an affluent area allows us to provide exceptional care and services to our clients and patients and we strive on administering the highest standard. We have relationships with several referral hospitals in our area to provide advanced imaging and surgical care when needed.

We are a collaborative practice with an emphasis on a team environment and approach. In order to ensure quality care and associate confidence, we provide mentorship to all new team members. We have group rounds every other week to discuss cases and are available to help each other whenever needed. Our practice believes in having a balanced life. Minimum experience- Equine rotating internship or 1+ year of private practice experience, current CA veterinary license. Applicants should provide a Letter of Intent, Curriculum Vitae and have references available upon request.

The job requires a currently issued US veterinary license and at least 1 to 2 years practice experience. Applicants must also have or be eligible to have a DEA license.  The practice will pay for the license but the applicant must be eligible to have one.
