**$100k to $135k Base Salary (varies based on qualifications/experience)
Cary Veterinary Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital providing complete medical, surgical, dental, and boarding care for our community. Our veterinarians are regularly out of the office by 5:45pm on the weekdays, have a 2-hour block in the middle of the day, and only work every other Saturday. We are looking to fill a Full Time position. A well rounded general practitioner who enjoys client education has the ability to build a client base quickly as we have a loyal clientele-many of which have been part of our family for generations.
Cary Veterinary Hospital was established in 1981 with a focus to provide professional, compassionate care paired with superior customer service. You will routinely find our doctors spending extra time with our clients not just educating them, but building lasting relationships and treating their pets like their own. We offer a full range of medical services, are highly focused on dentistry and preventative care, support the CE interests of our Veterinarians, and are open to providing new services to our community.
ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

4 Exam Rooms
Digital full body x-ray
Digital dental radiography
Dedicated surgical suite
Full in-house laboratory as well as referral lab availability

Qualifications
An ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinarian. Is outgoing and able to easily connect and communicate with patients and team members alike. Is passionate about providing high levels of clinical care in the exam room as well as in the surgical suite.
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in North Carolina
Job Responsibilities
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend Continuing Education meetings.
Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Other duties as assigned.
