Full-time associate DVM needed for our amazing small animal and exotics practice in Libertyville, IL.
What: FT or PT associate DVM; experienced or new grad eligible. We've mentored lots of new grads over the years. We also mentor high school kids and undergraduates who are thinking they would to be awesome for a career too!
Where: Care Animal Hospital of Libertyville; privately owned (single owner; no partners) established since 1998, at our new location since November 2017.
When: Now, or when you graduate. You are replacing our previous associate who had been with us since graduation in 2018 who just took a residency in Sports Medicine.
How Much: ProSal so what you make is up to you and your desire. Minimum base of $100k, more if you're experienced. If you want to sit in the doctors office and scroll instagram and read People magazine you'll make your base and probably a little production too honestly. If you are passionate about vetmed, work efficiently, want to learn and take care of animals and our amazing clientele you'll make lots more. My gross production was $1.2mm last year so on production I would have been over $200k but I'm the owner so I don't make that much.
Perks: All the things- health insurance up to $800/mo, CE stipend $2000/yr, licenses paid, AVMA and one other association paid. PTO- two weeks initially then three weeks after two years.
Schedule: 4-weekdays and rotating Saturdays. Everybody gets one weekday off during the week. Makes taking care of life easier. You will have 1-3 techs assigned to you every day depending on your schedule and workload. You will only do doctor stuff, our techs/nurses do the technical stuff.
Environment: epic and hilarious. We all enjoy coming to work and love what we do, and you should too. Our clientele is amazing, they will do pretty much anything you suggest. We only issue estimates for hospitalizations and major surgeries.
